Let the Sun Shine In...

on my new clothesline!!! Woo hoo. Thanks to my dh, Ken for putting it up tonight. I made myself a handy dandy clothespin holder...copied from my sister Loral's cool design...thanks sis! My washer and dryer are in my sewing room...while handy it gets smokin' hot in the summer. So now we can save some energy and I won't roast. D8 is very excited about helping on the clothesline. What a sweet kid she is!

Dancing Hippopotamus Craft show

Our second craft show went fairly smoothly. My sister, Loral, and I had a blast just sitting and people watching. The weather was H~O~T our first day. Luckily there was a fresh lemonade booth right across the way from us...plus we were right next to a food cart. Hmmmm...did somebody warn them we were foodies??? We sell many things including totes, baby sets, sundresses, pillows, aprons, dishcloths, checkbook covers and pincushions. We're still trying to build up some inventory. My goal for this winter is to sew up enough to cover all of the summer shows in '08.

A cruel tag joke for a fluffy like me ;-)

On a sadder note...

we've had two deaths in our family this week. My Aunt Lynn passed on the 11th. She was such a smart funny gal. When we were kids we could count on Aunt Lynn to show us a really fun time filled with laughter. She leaves behind a husband and 4 daughters. The youngest of which is going to be a junior this year. Please say a prayer for them as this is sure to be a rough road. I'm going to miss you Aunt Lynn.

My biological father passed away on the 9th from brain cancer. I'm having mixed feelings about this as he abandoned us when we were little...not much older than in the photo below. We've only seen him a handful of times since he left. I guess I'm mourning the possibilities lost. His life wasted on drugs and addiction. Never having a reconciliation. My children losing a grandfather. He threw away so much. I can't even fathom not having my family close to me. I fervently pray he accepted Jesus as his savior so he will know his family someday.

Missy, I'm so sorry for your losses. I'm thinking of you and Loral. Hugs, Marci
